On April 13-14, 2015, Mr. Ren Jianguo, General Manager of CISFC, visited Assuris, the Canadian life insurance guarantee fund, and exchanged views with the host about such topics as the development of the Canadian insurance market and the function of the insurance guarantee fund.

Assuris is a non-profit organization approved by the Canadian government and funded by insurance companies. It was incorporated in 1990 with the initial name CompCorp, and renamed as Assuris on December 1, 2005. It shoulders the mission to transfer insurance policies of a bankrupt insurance company to another insurer free of charge while minimizing the loss of policyholders. Policyholders will be notified of rights and interests even when no claim application was filed.

Meanwhile, General Manager Ren Jianguo held an amicable talk with the Vice President of Assuris and the Chairman of the International Forum of Insurance Guarantee Schemes (IFIGS) about CISFC’s joining in the IFIGS, and the talk made good progress.
