On February 2, China Insurance Security Fund Co., Ltd. (CISFC) held its 2024 Annual Work Conference. The Conference took Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as guidance, by thoroughly studying and implementing the guiding principles presented at the Central Financial Work Conference, the Central Economic Work Conference, and the Special Seminar of Major Leading Cadres at Provincial and Ministerial Levels, implemented the arrangements of the 2024 Regulation Work Conference to review work, summarize experience, and arrange tasks. Ji Yuhua, the Secretary of CPC CISFC Committee and Chairman attended the Conference and gave a speech. Zhang Li, Deputy Secretary of CPC CISFC Committee and General Manager, presided over the meeting. Relevant responsible persons from the General Office, Property and Casualty Insurance Supervision Department, and the Institution Recovery and Resolution Department of the National Financial Regulatory Administration were invited to be present.

    In 2023, according to the Conference, CISFC has implemented the decisions and deployments made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council. In accordance with the requirements put forth by the Party Committee of the National Financial Regulatory Administration, CISFC continued to guide the effective implementation of the political task of risk management with Party building to comprehensively guarantee high-quality development of all business types of the Company. Through relentless efforts, CISFC continued the enhancement of the Party building, improved fund-raising and management capability and level constantly, and orderly promoted its key risk resolution tasks. In addition, CISFC continued to improve its equity management capability and further moved forward with early resolution of risks, thus steadily reinforcing internal management. Over the past year, CISFC adhered to the CPC Central Committee’s centralized and unified leadership of financial work, followed the principle of embracing difficulties and taking corresponding actions, and stuck to the idea of being practical to continue to improve work quality and efficiency, and persisted in better gathering the joint efforts of all parties through active collaboration to make hard-won achievements.

    It was stressed at the Conference that the year 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China and is a crucial year to achieve the goals and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan as well as an important year that CISFC accelerates its development. CISFC will adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, comprehensively implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Second Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee, follow the arrangements of the Central Financial Work Conference and the Central Economic Work Conference, and adhere to the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability to completely, accurately, and comprehensively implement the new development philosophy and focus on the goal of building a powerful financial country. In accordance with the arrangements of the 2024 Regulation Work Conference, CISFC will proactively integrate and serve the overall situation of financial risk prevention and mitigation, facilitate upholding the bottom line of no systemic financial risk, and steadily promote its high-quality development. First, CISFC will perform its responsibility of fund-raising and management of fund assets scientifically and prudently. Second, CISFC will steadily promote the implementation of risk resolution projects, refine and stabilize proven practices, and drive the conversion and utilization of research achievements. Third, CISFC will closely cooperate and push forward the liquidation of Anbang Group. Fourth, CISFC will improve its duty performance capability of participating in the corporate governance of holding institutions. Fifth, CISFC will broaden ideas to reinforce its support capability of risk monitoring services. Sixth, CISFC will refine its corporate governance policies and mechanisms and promote the in-depth integration of the Party building and corporate governance. Seventh, CISFC will effectively improve its service support level. Eighth, CISFC will advance comprehensive and strict Party self-governance in depth.
